Estate Agents get commission when you find your ideal property. They have earned their commission - and you are happy as you have located your dream Spanish property due their efforts and knowledge.

However, as with all professions and trades, there are some rogue players. Such property agents just have one aim - to make money. They don't really care whether you buy the property that you really had in mind - as long as you buy any property, they are happy. When you don't find the property of your dreams and you tell the agent that you are not going to buy any property, that's when you find out whether the agent is a true professional or just a money grabbing agent.

A professional property agent will not mind if you don't buy. He or she knows full well that buying a property is important. Professional property agents give you the freedom to find your property either through their agency or with other property agents.

A rogue agent, on the other hand, becomes pushy and aggressive as soon as he or she finds out that you are not interested in buying any property via their estate agency.
